Half Way in Distance - Day 6.

 

We are now over 500 miles  of our 1000 mile ride AND have climbed more than the summit of Mt. Everest.

Day 6

Day 6 was relatively simple - just head North. We covered 152.1km and 2,281 ft of elevation (1,305 m).

 

Blogs, write ups and books all warn about the challenges of crossing the most populated area of the LEJoG route ... and they were not understating the challenge. Town after town, traffic, relatively few inconsiderate drivers (which we were grateful for), cycle ways that were great, not so great or possibly just easy parking spots.

Finally we found ourselves riding along the canal in Lancaster to our well deserved overnight stop.
